SEO for Lunch

SEO for Lunch is written by me, Jon Payne.

Jon owns Ephricon Web Marketing, an SEO agency serving the Baltimore, MD and Charlotte, NC metro areas as well as Washington DC and beyond. Jon also writes on another blog about online lead generation and SEO .

This blog is essentially a timeline and quick recap of various networking-type lunch dates I set up with other SEO and online marketing professionals.  Even in the "online world", I think there is something to be said for having face-to-face interaction.

Anyhow, contacting other internet marketers in my area and having lunch with them to talk shop is something I’ve been doing for a number of years.  I just recently decided to provide a little profile though of these interactions.  There isn’t much else behind it than that.

So why did I just start caring enough to document these lunches? Well its mainly b/c I’ve recently moved from Baltimore, MD to the Charlotte, NC area.  When I was in Baltimore I knew most people in the industry, as there was a time when I was the ONLY SEO guy in Baltimore!  Now that I’m in Charlotte, I’m the new guy and I don’t have much of a network.  Through these lunch meetings and spending wayyy too much time networking via Twitter and email, I’m changing that.

Generally speaking, I will keep personal details and other nuts and bolts that are discussed private.  Instead, this blog will more say who I’ve recently had an "SEO lunch" with, rather than what nuggets we chatted about.
